Residence

Silta-Klubi

Located just off Mannerheimintie in Ruskeasuo, The student residence of Silta-Klubi is within easy reach of most Helsinki universities and an easy bus connection to those in Vantaa and Espoo. By combining an atmosphere of serious study with a warm, family environment, Silta-Klubi provides the ideal place for young women who want to make the most of their time at high school or university.

Equipped with individual study-bedrooms and two study rooms, Silta-Klubi seeks to attract good students who wish to achieve the best results while making the most of their time at high school or university. The ethos of Silta-Klubi is based on the traditional idea of a university: a place to study in an atmosphere of intellectual enquiry, independence and openness.

Silta-Klubi has had activities since 1988, but is opening its doors as a student residence this fall. The residence welcomes students of all creeds, nationalities and ethnic backgrounds.

At Silta-Klubi, we aim to provide accommodation for women students, where study is a high priority and the educational experience of university life is complemented by a climate of friendship, solidarity and mutual respect.

The pastoral care in Silta-Klubi has been entrusted to Opus Dei, a Personal Prelature of the Catholic Church which aims to help people lead a fully Christian life and to seek holiness through their study, daily work and family and social commitments.
